Extracurricular Activities

Cultural field trips, foreign travel opportunities, Pen Pal programs,
Student Exchange Programs (Rotary International, Osnabrück, Lions, etc.),
Language Contests, Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Language,
and Foreign Language Clubs.

French Club

The French Club is composed of students who enjoy gathering for activities in an atmosphere of enthusiasm for the language they study. During regular meetings, students have the opportunity to participate in social and cultural activities.

 

German Club

The German Club is a social organization for students who study German. Possible activities may include: a club picnic, dinner in a German restaurant; a Christmas party for German club members in which they share Christmas customs, sing carols, and share German pastries; participation in St. Nicholas Fest at the University of Evansville; a service project; and a spring dinner.

 

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club is a social organization composed of those students studying the Spanish language. Major activities may include: a service project; a Christmas party with the traditional piñata, Christmas customs, and various dishes from the Hispanic world; the observance of Foreign Language week in March; visits by native speakers to club meetings; and a club dinner held at one of the local Mexican restaurants in the spring. Other activities may be held depending on the interest of the club members.
