Grade Point Average and Class Rank Computation

A student’s grade point average (GPA) and rank in class are computed on a
six-point scale using semester grades in all classes except Newspaper, Yearbook,
and Physical Education. A class taken as an audit is counted by using the second
grade received. No grades are weighted in computing GPA or rank.

Honor Roll

Honor Roll is figured in the following manner:

GPA

High Honors

5.45 - 6.00

Honors

4.45 - 5.44

Honorable Mention

4.00 - 4.44

The following subjects are not included in the GPA computation: Physical Education, Newspaper, Yearbook, Office Assistants, and Media Center Assistants.
